1) What is your position with Urban Myth Studios and what does that entail?
I'm a co-founder alongside the amazing other artist in the group and will have a project up soon once I deal with my cancer.
2)Who are your favorite artists and where do you draw inspiration?
Artist who have influenced my art are Alex Toth, Jack Kirby, John Buscema, Bruce Timm, Michael Avon Oeming and Mike Mignola. They show me it's about the structure of the page and it's flow, not a bunch of fancy lines and a cool splash page. I like to use Books and movies for inspiration. If you want a good page, you have to think outside the box.
3)What are your favorite comics?
My favorites would include. "Watchmen," Moore's run on "Swampthing," Jack Kirby's "Demon. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby's run on "Fantastic Four," Claremont and Byrne's run on "Uncanny X-Men," Mike Mignola's "Hellboy," Byrne's "Captain America: War & Remembrance," and Walter Simoson's classic run on "Thor" and the new "Atomic Robo" series.
4)Where do you hope the studio is in 5 years?
We’ll be a studio of creative friends producing the best work possible and helping others step produce their work.
5)If you could learn from any artist in any time who would it be and why?
Artist Joe Kubert, he showed how the simplest line meant something in the creation of art. He showed how comic art could be elevated to a higher level.
6) If you could assemble your perfect creative team to work on a comic book project (not produced by Urban Myth) who would they be and what would they work on?
Cover Bruce Timm
Writer Chris Claremont
Artist Mike Mignola
Inker Chad Fuller
Colors Dave Stewart
7)Outside of drawing what are you interests and hobbies?
Collecting Comics, Oil Painting, Painting Murals, trying to keep up on my PS3 playing Lego Batman 2 with my Nephew, teaching art to kids at the local Library.
8)What is your favorite movie and why?
"Star Wars." it opened my eyes and imagination when I first saw it as a little kid. It had me drawing for hours.
9)Do you have any books being worked on at the moment?
Working on Two books, one will be put out thru Urban Myth and the other is going to be thru First Comics
10) What’s the best part about creating your own comics?
Just bringing my imagination to life and entertaining others with my art and words.
As for inspiration I would say social media, I look on Facebook or Instagram and see what people are doing with their talents and challenge myself to do the sa
